Hyundai Green Food initiated the overseas food service in Middle East for the first time in the industry in 2011. In the scorching heat as high as 50℃ in Barakah, Al-Ayn and Subiya, Hyundai Green Food provides catering service for staff at plants and construction works. We are serving menus to around 10,000 multinational workers from India, Philippines, Europe and Korea. Since the regions are as hot as over 50℃ with sandstorm, we are taking extra caution in hygiene. Since the workers sweat a lot, menus contain high contents of minerals and vitamins and considering the varying religions and food cultures of India, Philippines and Pakistan, we are focusing on global menus according to characteristics. Also, we are providing special menus such as Ramadan diet and Eid al-Fitr diet.
Hyundai Green Food has advanced into the Chinese market in 2012. Currently, it is running 27 business sites in 10 regions including Beijing, Rizhao, Yancheng and Shanghai. We are providing not only the local specialized menus of China but also the menus preferred by Chinese people such as handmade direct flame cuisines and dumpling corners. Korean dishes supplied in China are also made from sincerity of mother to raise customer satisfaction. Hyundai Green Food is the first to export black pork from Jeju to Hong Kong as a Korean company and exported Hanwoo in the following year to become a bridgehead in exporting premium food ingredients.
Hyundai Green Food has advanced into Mexico for the first in the industry in 2016. It is operating business site in Monterrey where around 200 local menus customized to Mexican people are being supplied, and on site grill menus and special diet are well received by local people. Also, various events from Korea are introduced for unique enjoyment.
Hyundai Green Food has been exporting around 2,500 tons in 300 sorts of food ingredients each year to US, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and UAE since 2015. By doing this, it is providing a good alternative to farms and small to medium sized businesses that are in hardship from abnormal climates and FTA. By exporting famous Korean food such as Samgyetang and kimchi, we are pioneering the k-food and we are contributing to solidify the premium image of Korean food by exporting cold noodle recipe to US and highest grade Hanwoo to Hong Kong. Also, Hyundai Green Food has entered sole distribution agreement with overseas products that are not readily available in Korea to supply various products to domestic consumers at reasonable prices.
